Michal Kutzendörfer

Founder & Managing Partner

Michal is a seasoned entrepreneur and investor with over 30 years of experience in IT and telecommunications.

As the founder of Apelby Group, a global ICT company, he successfully built a thriving business before expanding his focus to private equity. In 2016, he founded Wittigsberg, a firm dedicated to strategic investments across ICT, equities, commodities, and real estate.

In 2021 and 2022, Michal completed the transition of Apelby Group’s leadership to a new CEO, allowing him to fully dedicate himself to Wittigsberg’s investment portfolio. He holds a Master’s degree in Technology Management and has pursued further studies in Capital Markets and Investment Funds in Prague.

Emil Kovac

Co-Founder & Partner

Emil is a Partner with extensive experience in strategic growth, international expansion, and value creation.

He has been involved with Apelby since its inception as a Board Member, supporting the founder in shaping product and go-to-market strategy, establishing international operations, and driving long-term growth. He later served as Chief Strategy Officer and was appointed CEO in 2021, leading the company through its scaling phase.

Previously, Emil held senior leadership roles at IDT Corporation, where he managed CEE operations with full P&L responsibility and built profitable businesses across multiple European markets. He also brings deep expertise in marketing and commercialization from advisory work with Vodafone and executive roles at POS Media Group. Emil focuses on partnering with management teams to drive sustainable growth and investment returns.
